John Denver, a singer-songwriter of Colorado who was a specialist in folk pop music touched the hearts of millions. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell in New Mexico. He was enthralled by Colorado and moved to Aspen. Denver's state anthems inspired people to travel to Colorado. I don't think there's anyone else who represents Colorado like John Denver said G. Brown stated. Denver's debut Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a short period of performing with small folk-based groups included Take Me Home Country Roads written by Bill Danoff. Danoff created the track along with Johnny Cash in mind but when Denver heard an early version he knew right away the track could become the next hit single. The song was recorded by the singer only a few days afterward after performing it to crowds of enthusiastic fans in Washington D.C.
